T. A graduate of Tulane University, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves before returning to Atlanta to raise two sons, Wood Jr. and Will, who are now both lawyers in Atlanta.  Wood is the President of the Highlands Western North Carolina Community Foundation believing strongly that we should support the local charities in the area.

Wood Lovell began visiting the Highlands area during his childhood with a friend.  Wood’s parents subsequently bought a home in the Highlands and Wood continued to travel to this area after marriage.  Wood lost his first wife to cancer in 1995, and he turned to the mountains for solace, purchasing a cabin in the Highlands that same year.

After courting his current wife, Jody, in the mountains, they moved here after marriage in 2000 because they both love this area so much.  They personify the recent migration to the mountains - a phenomenon referred to as the "Exurbia" movement.  Sociologists define the Exurbia exodus as a shift from major cities to high-quality small towns within a 100-mile radius.  The Highland/Cashiers/Lake Toxaway plateau is the epicenter of Exurbia.  Wood can help you find the mountain lifestyle that best suits the Exurbia need in you.

Jody Lovell, Broker/Owner builds effective client relationships with her passion for beautiful homes and her acute people skills to achieve positive results consistently for both buyers and sellers.  A lawyer by education, she left the Atlanta law firm of King and Spalding to join her husband, Wood, and start Cullasaja Realty nine years ago.  Their positive approach and attention to each client’s every detail catapulted them as a leader in sales consistently for million dollar plus homes each year.

Jody earned her undergraduate and law degrees from The Ohio State University.  She furthered her studies at Oxford University, The London School of Economics and Kings College.  She received her Masters in International Business Law from the University of London in 1994.  While living in London, England for two years, Jody was among the first group of American lawyers to qualify as an English Solicitor.  She feels privileged to be selected as a Sotheby's International Realty® affiliate with her anglophile background.  Jody adopts her clients as new friends and helps integrate them into this wonderful community. From January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2008, Jody was the top sales producer in the entire area and she sells more of her own listings each year than any other agent.

Nancy Bell, Broker has been a member of the Highlands-Cashiers Board of Realtors® for the past seven years and has lived in the Cullasaja Club in Highlands for the past ten years.  Prior to devoting her energies to becoming one of Highlands premier agents, Nancy was active in the Atlanta community having served as president and on the board of several philanthropic organizations and continues to lead a weekly Bible study.
